Coolpad has launched the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 in India as the Coolpad Note 3. The device is exclusive to Amazon India and sells through flash sales from October 20; it comes with improvements over the Chinese version and is priced at Rs 8999 ($139).
The Coolpad Note 3 improves over the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 in the areas of OS and RAM; it runs Android Lollipop OS and packs 3GB of RAM compared to Android Kitkat OS and 2GB of RAM on the latter.
The Dual SIM 4G device sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. A microSD card slot is present for storage expansion up to 64GB.
Handling photography on the Coolpad Note 3 is a rear facing 13MP f/2.0 camera with LED flash, 5P lens and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The device is compatible with 2G, 3G and 4G LTE network bands in India and there are GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity options as well.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s Cool UI 6.0 ontop, the Coolpad Note 3 measures 151 x 77 x 9.3mm; in dimensions, weighs 155 grams, sports a fingerprint scanner below the main camera and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
