Microsoft has now confirmed that a beta version of the Cortana for Android app would be available in July. Last month, the company confirmed it would be making Cortana available for Android phones and iPhones, making the app a companion for Cortana on Windows 10 PCs.
The company however did not state a timeframe as to when the virtual personal assistant would be available on iPhones (iOS). The Cortana for Android Beta Version would be available at some point in July which should be along (or after) the official launch of the Windows 10 for PC.
Certain features would be missing in the Android Version of Cortana and is expected to be the same for the iOS version. Microsoft does not have the same access it has to Windows Phone compared to Android and iOS.
Microsoft also confirmed Cortana would be coming to Xbox One this fall in the UK and US. Through voice commands, the virtual assistant would help in selecting great games, accomplish great tasks and finding friends or challengers on Xbox Live.
It is visible, Microsoft wants cortana to be used across most platforms, if not all, irrespective of the device you are working on. Whether it is a Windows 10 PC, tablet, phone – Windows Phone, Android phone or iPhone; your Xbox.
