US prepaid carrier, Cricket Wireless has commenced sales of the LG Fortune, an entry-level smartphone with fingerprint sensor (rear placed) that doesn’t cost a fortune. The device is on sale for US$89.99 (with a smartphone plan activation – 3GB, 8GB, 12GB or unlimited) online and offline at Cricket stores.
Pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, the LG Fortune sports a 5-inch LCD display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) screen resolution, 16GB built-in storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD) and depends on a 2500mAh battery with Battery Saver option to further extend battery usage time.
The device is powered by a quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor clocked at 1.1GHz paired with 1.5GB of RAM. A rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD recording handles photography alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity options on the LG Fortune include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, micro USB and Mobile Hotspot. Like the LG Stylo 3, the device comes with the usual LG features such as Quick Memo+ and Knock Code. The measures 144.78 x 72.37 x 7.78mm in dimensions and sports a rear placed power button.
