Cube has announced a new 2-in- tablet with 12-inch display and 4GB of RAM – the Cube i9. It uses the Intel Core M Skylake processor, has a built-in kickstand and a detachable keyboard cover with support for multi-finger touchpad to achieve a PC-like experience when used as a notebook.
The Cube i9 sports a 12.2-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1200 pixels screen resolution and is powered by an Intel Core m3-6Y30 Skylake processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB solid state drive storage. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 2-megapixels and rear facing 5-megapixels cameras.
Housed in a Magnesium alloy body case, the Windows 10 OS running tablet has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity; features a USB 3.1 Type-C connector, microSD card reader and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. It is available in China via Jfor a price tag of CNY 2999 (approx US$ 455).
The Cube i9 is about half the price of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 which also uses the Core M3 processor but comes with more high-end features including the Surface Pen. The company will also be hoping the Cube i9 takes on the Chuwi Hi12 which also pack 12-inch display and 4GB RAM but uses 1440p screen resolution and Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor.

Why go for the Surface Pro 4 when I can get the Cube i9 for half the price. The hardware is promising.
