Cubot announce First Ever Smartband – Cubot V1

Chinese device maker, Cubot has announced its first ever smartband – the Cubot V1. In the past, the coy announced the Cubot L9 smartwatch which was later released as the Cubot R8. The new smartband has some of the functions of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 but lacks an Heart Rate Sensor.

Dressed in a Bayer TPU skin friendly material, the Cubot V1 promises a comfortable wristband experience. It counts steps, distance, calories burned, monitors sleep quality and serves as a subtle alarm. ‎It also alerts on Call, SMS and app notifications, by nudging (vibrating) the and the LED notification turns on.

The smartband comes with a customisable band app and is equipped with low-power consumption chip (dialog DA14580) which ensures a longer standby time (up to 30 days of use. It connect with devices via Bluetooth 4.0 and also uses the Freescale MMA8652 (three-axis acceleration sensor) for precise motion sensing.

The Cubot V1 sports an oval 0.88-inch LED screen with 128 x 32 pixels resolution and is IP65 certified for protection against water spill, sweat, corrosion and more. It also has a 80mAh battery under the hood. ‎
