Cubot has listed up its latest smartphone and this time, an audio- or music-centric one. The Cubot Echo is the first music phone from the Chinese company and will be available this month (August 2016) in Black, Rose Gold and White colours. Details of pricing is unavailable yet.
The highlight of the Cubot Echo is the presence of the Awinic smart amplifier chip AW87319 in the huge rear speakers, to boost bass, enhance sound quality and performance. The amplifier ensures up to 100dB, 0.015% distortion rate and ground noise as low as 47uV for a better aural experience.
The Echo sports a 5-inch IPS GFF 2.5D display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, 1300 : 1 contrast, 450 cd/㎡ brightness and a pixel density of 294ppi. It measures : 143 x 72 x 11.35 mm in dimensions, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
On the inside, it packs a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6580 Quad-core processor paired with Mali-400 MP GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space. It supports 2G and 3G only networks along with HotKnot, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS/A-GPS.
Photography is handled by rear facing 13.0MP AF camera with 5P lens, ƒ/ 2.0 aperture and 0.5A LED flashlight, while the front camera is a 5.0MP snapper with Intelligent beauty for selfies and video chats. The device is also equipped with a Notification LED light (Blue).
