Cubot has a new smartphone in town and like the recently announced Cubot X15, it is a phablet sized device. The Cubot H1 as it is known is available in China for a price tag around $150 to $160 in Black, Gold and White colour options,
The highlight of the Cubot H1 is its 5200mAh battery which is obviously not the largest in the market but is among one of them. The huge battery offers about 3 – 5 days of mixed usage and charges up to 100% within an hours when using a 5V/2A charger (supports fast charging features).
With just 10 minutes of charge can last up to 2 hours of calls and can also serve as a power bank for charging other smartphones (or similar USB charged devices) using OTG cable.
Powered by a quad-core 64-bit Mediatek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz, the Cubot H1 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display with 2.5D curved protective glass (267ppi), 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
With a built-in IR Blaster (IR Remote Sensor), the device can control several appliances at home including the TV, Air Conditioner and more. An IR remote app is needed to be downloaded by the way and the listing suggests it would be able to control up to 2853 devices.
On the back, the device has a 13MP camera with 5P AF lens and LED flash; the front camera is a 8MP snapper with 4P lens, supports Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.
For a device with such huge battery, the Cubot H1 measures about 9.2mm thin (full dimensions – 154.5 x 76.6 x 9.2mm) connectivity options includes USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS and 4G LTE (FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B20 network bands).
