Chinese brand, Cubot, which sells its products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has announced a new large screen smartphone called the Cubot Max. The phablet joins the likes of the BLU Energy XL, Bluboo Max, YU Yureka Note, Leagoo Shark 1 and Archos Diamond 2 with similar screen size.
Sporting a sleek body build in Black, Golden and White colours; the Cubot Max sports a 6-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resulting in a pixel density of 245 ppi. A peek into the inside shows a an octa-core Mediatek MT6753A 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz with ARM Mali-T720 GPU.
The new phablet packs 3GB of RAM for handling tasks along with a massive 32GB built-in storage space. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13 megapixels AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5 megapixels camera for selfies and videos.

The Cubot Max supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. It depends on a sizeable 4000mAh battery, which is expected to last up to a day of usage, for power. Other connectivity options onboard includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS.
At the moment, there is no word on the pricing of the Cubot Max but it is expected to arrive in August. One of the markets the device could likely be available in Kenya but not Nigeria.
