One of the moderately known Chinese brand Cubot has listed up an ambitious smartphone up on their official website, the Cubot S9, is a high-end device powered by the yet-to-be announced Snapdragon 823 processor by Qualcomm and pack up to 6GB of RAM. It is expected to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box, pack a fingerprint sensor in the semi-circular home button and a USB Type-C Port which will totally eliminate the 3.5mm audio jack.
Moving to the specifications, the Cubot S9 sports a 5.4-inch bezel-less display made by SHARP with the resolution unknown and a very compact body which measures 139 x 70 x 6.5 mm in dimensions. It’s been a long time, over a year actually, since the company last released a device powered by a Snapdragon SoC, so using the Snapdragon 823 on the S9 could be said to be a statement.
For photography, the front camera is a 8-megapixels snapper for selfies while the main camera on the rear is a Dual 16-megapixels snapper with Dual LED flash. The whole shebang is backed by a 2800mAh battery with Quick charging support. Although, the Cubot S9 will be hoping to take the crown of the first Snapdragon 823 SoC powered device, there is no word on any potential launch date which mean there is still time for suprises.
