Following the launch of the Cubot V1 Wearable; the company has announced the Cubot X16 S – the follow model to the Cubot X16 from last year. The new smartphone is now on pre-sale (from July 5 to 15) for a promotional price of US$ 120 but the regular price stands at US$ 140.
Available in Black and White colour options; the Cubot X16 S has an appealing full metal (aerospace-grade aluminium-magenesium) body build and 2.5D delicate curved glass screen. It sports a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display, measures 7.0 mm thick and is backed by a 2700mAh capacity battery.
On the inside, it relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6735A 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, has Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano) and supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE (Cat.4) networks.
In the camera aspect, the Cubot X17 S has a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera with 4P lens, 1A LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture; while the front snapper is a 8MP camera with 3P lens and 88-degree wide angle lens. For screen to screen data transfer; it is equipped with HotKnot connectivity; along with GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n options.
