Cubot is back again with the Cubot X17, we have already seen the Cubot X15 and Cubot X16 already from the company. The 5-inch sized device has been listed up on the company’s website along with a video showing it in its full glory.
Moving to the specs, the Cubot X17 sports a 5-inch JDI AH-IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and a pixel density of 441ppi. The device has CNC-processed 4.1 mm zinc alloy frame, measures 6.1mm thin (full dimensions – 143.4 x 69.4 x 6.1mm) and weighs 145 grams.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6735A processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB expandable built-in storage space. For photography, there is a rear facing 16MP camera with Dual LED flash and a front facing 8MP f/2.2 camera with 88-degree wide angle lens.
Connectivity options on the Cubot X17 includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with AGPS and USB OTG; it supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE Cat.4 networks (FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B20). The device also has HotKnot connectivity which lets the device perform NFC-like features.
The Cubot X17 has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. There is no word on pricing and release details yet.
