Russian based brand, DEXP has reportedly launched the DEXP Ixion XL240 Triforce. The device is touted by the company as the smallest smartphone in the world to use an octa-core processor. It is priced at RUB 6990 (~ $105) in Black, Blue, White and Yellow colour options.
Moving to the specs, the DEXP Ixion XL240 Triforce sports a 4-inch IPS display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA). It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6592M processor clocked at 1.4GHz with Mali-450 MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB native storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
The rear main camera is a Samsung made 8MP snapper with LED flash and the front facing camera is a 2MP snapper for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0 and 3G. Support for 4G LTE is however not on the cards.
Running Android 4.4 Kitkat OS from the onset, the DEXP Ixion XL240 Triforce measures 124 x 66 x 13mm in dimensions, weighs 170 grams, supports Dual SIM support and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is more than enough to some days due to the smallish nature of the display.
