Doogee has announced the launch of the Doogee MIX in China with a number of top shelf features. The smartphone, which was showed off at the Global Sources Electronics Hong Kong 2017, is no doubt a carbon copy of Xiaomi’s MIX with its edge-to-edge display; however, there are differences in specs.
From the onset, the Doogee MIX boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS, including a DG center, and powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and Mali-T880 GPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. There is a limited version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space.
The device has a dual camera setup – a main 16MP (RGB) plus secondary 8MP (Monochrome) Samsung ISOCELL sensor. Both cameras are coupled with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP snapper with 86-degree wide angle lens and auto beautify mode, while power is supplied by a 3,380mAh battery with 5V/2A quick charge technology.
The Doogee MIX sports an all metal (stainless steel) body build with micron scale vacuum ion plating tech, 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and rear. The DTouch fingerprint sensor (0.192 unlock time; 360-degree identification) is embedded into the home button and there is a special leather cover to take care of every curved detail. It will arrive in Aurora Blue, Coral Blue and Dazzle Black colour options.
