Chinese device maker, Doogee has released its latest rugged smartphone – the Doogee S60. The model sports an all-metal body covered with shockproof material, 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a rear fingerprint sensor (0.19s unlock time).
The Doogee S6 is IP68-certified i.e it dustproof and protected from immersion in water up to 1 metre. On the inside, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757) 64-bit processor clocked at 2.5GHz paired with 900MHz ARM Mali-T880 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage.
For photography, the device has a rear facing 21MP camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, 1/2.4 CMOS sensor size, dual LED flash, OIS and Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), alongside a front 8MP selfie camera. The camera has 9 different shooting modes including Auto, Party, Sunset, Night Potrait, Potrait, Night, Sports and Landscape.
The Doogee S60 is backed by a long lasting 5,580mAh battery with an accompanying 12V/2A fast charger and charges other mobile devices via OTG. There is no word from the company on pricing and availability. Black, Gold, and Silver are the available colour options.
