Chinese manufacturer, DOOV has released a couple of smartphones which all borrow their design inspiration from different brands including ZTE and iPhones like the DOOV L5 Pro. This time, the company has just launched the DOOV L8 Plus which take after the looks of the iPhone 6S Plus and Huawei Mate 8 combined.
Measuring 156 × 75.5 × 7.9 mm in dimensions and weighing 161 grams; the DOOV L8 Plus has an all metal body build, 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D curved glass protection.
On the inside, it is powered by the octa-core Mediatek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 128GB. The device has Dual SIM slots, supports 4G LTE (Cat.6) with VoLTE, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with DOOV OS 2.1 ontop.
The DOOV is compatible with China Telecom (CDMA and CDMA2000), China Mobile (GSM and TD-SCDMA) and China Unicom (GSM and WCDMA). In the camera segment, the device has a rear facing 13MP PDAF camera with Dual-Color LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera for Selfies.
The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the circular home button. In terms of pricing, the device starts at CNY 1799 (US$ 271) for the basic model.
