    • Upgrade your firmware to the latest one
      This can be a ‘No, I won’t’ type of idea to those who own a jail-broken iPhone but the next best idea to increase your iPhone’s battery life would be to update the system to the latest version. Apple is always releasing new versions of its iOS firmware for iPhones (of course, these updates come with lots of patches and fixes that can increase your battery life) so upgrade on time before you miss out.
    • Play with the Settings
      Many people leave services and apps running in the background, which (with no doubt) use the battery or the CPU. Therefore, you must optimize your iPhone’s settings to see if it helps in increasing the battery life. For instance, turn off notifications (quiet hours) or how about keeping it on silent mode when the battery runs low. It’s going to help.

      This is not about keeping your iPhone locked all the time but when not in use, the best thing to do would be to close it for saving some battery.
