Manufacturers on all fronts are looking to push the limit to create stand out features on their devices. Elephone has announced the Elephone P5000 with a 5350mAh battery which means it surpasses the Philips W6618 (5300mAh) as the smartphone with the largest battery capacity yet.
The Elephone P5000 like the recently announced Huawei Honor 6 Plus can be used to charge other devices (serves as a powerbank). The battery is tipped to last 4 days (96 hours) of usage and the battery charges up to 70% in just One hour with the fast charging mode.
Asides its large battery capacity, the Elephone P5000 also comes with some pretty good specs. It packs a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, fingerprint sensor, 16MP rear camera and front facing 8MP camera. It uses an Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor which clocks at 1.7GHz.
It measures 144 x 71 x 9.3mm, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, but there is no word if it supports 4G LTE or comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The Elephone P5000 is expected to go on sale in January 2015 but there is no word on how much it would go on sale.
