Hate them or love them, Chinese OEMS are really trying to making a statement in the smartphone Industry. Elephone belongs to this class and the upcoming Elephone P8000 is a testament, it offers top range specs for as we all call it affordable price.
The Elephone P8000 share some specs features with the already selling Elephone P7000; both smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, rear fingerprint scanner and 3GB of RAM. There are also differences noted and the P7000 comes with more battery capacity and reduced camera pixel down to 13MP from 16MP.
The Elephone P8000 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a micro SD card slot for storage expansion.
On the rear there is a 13MP camera with LED flash; a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats and fingerprint scanner below the main camera. Unlike the Elephone P7000 which only supports LTE networks in China, the Elephone P8000 comes with ‘Worldmode’ 4G LTE connectivity i.e it works with all 4G networks around the world. Other connectivity options includes – USB OTG, Dual Band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Elephone P8000 is backed by a larger 4200mAh battery and it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The device is expected to cost $210 but there is no word on availability for now.
