Elephone has officially announced the Elephone P9000; the high end smartphone would use the recently announced Deca-Core (10-core) MediaTek Helio X20 processor and run on the latest Android Lollipop OS. The smartphone is expected to go on sale on the 20th of October for a price equivalent to $499.
The Elephone P9000 would be powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 processor which makes use of 10-cores (2 ARM Cortex-A72 cores @ 2.5GHz, 4 ARM Cortex-A53 Cores @ 2.0GHz and the remaining 4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores @ 1.4GHz). It is the first mobile processor with Tri-Cluster CPU architecture and 10-core processor.
Handling task on the device is 4GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage for media, apps and files; and a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, Dual SIM slots, measure 8mm thin, weighs 150 grams, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3100mAh battery.
On the rear, there is a 20.7MP camera and a rear facing 8MP camera for selfies. The available colour options are White and Black. For the past few months, Elephone has been steadily building a reputation for making high-end smartphones at an affordable price and this has been made with cutting edge technology rather than mediocre devices.
The already announced Elephone P7000 and Elephone P8000 are testaments, now that the Elephone 9000 has been announced, could the Elephone P10000 be next? Only time will tell.
