Elephone recently announced its new flagship, the Elephone S7, a phablet device reminiscent not only in the name but also the body design and build of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. While there is no word on pricing, it will be available in Dark Blue and Dark Green colour options.
While it is a copy of one of Samsung’s most successful devices yet; the Elephone S7 still differs a bit in the design. The camera is placed at the top-left corner along with the LED flash while the volume rocker and power button are placed on the right hand side. The oval home button on the Galaxy S7 Edge is also copied but the presence of a fingerprint scanner is in doubt.
The device sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS bezel-less display with Double-sided radian glass. It is powered by a Deca-Core Mediatek Helio X20 processor along with 3GB and 32GB built-in storage space. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 16MP camera and a front facing 8MP camera for video calling and selfies.
Like all knock offs, the Elephone S7 is selling for an attractive price tag. The S7 series start at $99.99 for the basic model and goes as high as $189.99 for the high end model. The company does not state the differences between the models and there is no word on availability nor the battery capacity.
