Earlier this year, Elephone showed off a 2K display smartphone running Dual OS at an event in Hong Kong around April. That device is now internally known as the Elephone Vowney. While the final name of the high end device is unknown yet, a price tag of $299.99 and potential August release date is tipped.
There are reportedly two versions of the Elephone Vowney; a version which would be powered by an Intel quad-core processor and dual boot Windows/Android OS; and the other version is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor and runs strictly Android Lollipop OS alone.
Both versions share the rest of the features, the Elephone Vowney specs includes – a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2K IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 535ppi, 4GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage and rear facing 21MP camera with Sony IMX230 Sensor with Dual LED flash and a front facing 8MP camera for better selfies.
The fingerprint scanner is located behind the device just below the main camera. It has 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity support and is backed by a 3850mAh battery with fast charging features. Black, Gold and White are the available colour options.
