Its certain we will be seeing more and more of tablets running on Windows OS with entry level specs, affordable rates and at least for now you won’t see many 7-Inch tablets running on Windows OS but that’s about to change. Emdoor yesterday announced the 8-Inch Emdoor EM-i8080 running on Windows OS and sells for just $100, now the company is back with a 7-inch Tablet dubbed the Emdoor Miso.
The Toshiba Encore 7 has been touted to be the first 7-inch display tablet to run on Windows 8.1 but it already has a rival in that catergory with the Emdoor Miso. Not also forgetting the fact that Toshiba also announced the 8-Inch and 10-Inch Toshiba Encore 2 Tablets running on Windows 8.1 OS.
The Emdoor Miso features a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixel resolution) IPS display, powered by an Intel Z3735G quad-core Bay Trail processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal storage and 2MP front and rear cameras. Other features includes a micro USB port, microSD card slot, and micro HDMI port. Connectivity options includes Miracast wireless display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Emdoor Miso also comes bundled with 1 year subscription to the Microsoft Office 365 personal which offers all office apps including Powerpoint, Excel and word at no charges for just a year.
The Emdoor Miso measures 9.9mm in thickness, weighs 396g, would run on Windows 8.1 and powered by a 11.1Whr battery which provides 6 hours of battery life.
Emdoor has set August for the mass production date of the Emdoor Miso and no word yet has been available on pricing details. With the 8-Inch Emdoor EM-i080 retailing for $100 we expect the Miso to be a little less that that, for now we just keep our fingers crossed.
