Alcatel OneTouch has announced a new entrant to the affordable PIXI family of devices – the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi First. The entry level device is available in Metal Gold, Metal Silver, Rose Gold and Soft Slate colour options.
Running Android 4.4 Kitkat apparently to keep the cost down, the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi First is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 512MB of RAM, 4GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
On the back, there is a 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera with selfies. Measuring 122 x 64.4 x 9.7mm in dimensions, the Pixi First supports Dual SIM functionality as well as Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 3G HSPA+.
Like most entry level devices nowadays, the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi First has a FM Radio (we all know what it is used for) and is backed by a 1450mAh battery which the company promises would provide 300 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talk time.
There is no word on pricing and availability information but it is always hard to find phones from Alcatel in these parts of the world.
