Taiwanese consumer electronics company, BenQ has announced the BenQ B505, an entry-level smartphone in Taiwan. The 5-inch sized Android Lollipop OS based device costs USD $95 (TWD $2990) and will be available in Yuppie Black and Temperament White colour options.
Moving to the specs, the BenQ B505 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB space of internal storage out of which jusst 3.55GB is user available. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
It sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA). On the rear, there is a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with CMOS Sensor and LED flash; there is a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and 3G HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA+. The B505 measures 142.8 x 73.9 x 9.5 mm in dimensions and weighs 155 grams in size.
The BenQ B505 supports Dual SIM (Mini + Micro) with Dual Standby functionality, runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box and is backed by a moderate 2100mAh battery.
