Gionee India has officially announced a new entry level device – the Gionee Pioneer P3S or the Gionee P3S; the device is the natural successor to the Gionee Pioneer P3. It will go on sale next week in India for a price tag of INR 5999 ($91) in Golden, Grey, Red and White colour options.
Commenting on the launch of the Gionee Pioneer P3S, Timir Baran Acharya, GM, Gionee India said:
“The latest offering Pioneer P3S is one of its kind device which packs stunning looks with powerful technology and is yet affordable. P3S ensures that consumers don’t have to compromise on quality and features over pricing”.
The Gionee Pioneer P3S runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Amigo 3.1 UI ontop and is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400 MP1 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
The Pioneer P3S sports a 4.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA), rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 0.3MP (VGA) camera. Connectivity options on the device includes – micro USB port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 3G HSPA+ connectivity.
Measuring 133 x 67.4 x 11.2mm in dimensions and weighing 161 gram, the Gionee Pioneer P3S has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
