Highscreen has announced an entry level Android based smartphone – Highscreen Pure J. There is nothing spectacular about the smartphone but it is a reasonable alternative or option for first timers.
Running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS, the Highscreen Pure J features a 3.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels (HVGA) and a pixel density of around 163ppi. The device has a plastic body build and is available in five different colours – Black, Cyan, Orange, White and Yellow.
Under the hood, it is powered by a dual-core Mediatek MT6572M processor clocked at 1.0GHz with Mali 400 MP1 GPU, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
The main camera is a 2MP CMOS snapper with LED flash, front camera is VGA (0.3MP) snapper and Connectivity options on the Highscreen Pure J includes – GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB, Wi-Fi Hotspot and 3G.
Measuring 61.6 x 111 x 9.9 mm in dimensions, the Highscreen Pure J Weighs 115 grams, supports Dual SIM slots, comes with built-in FM Radio and is backed by a 1300mAh battery . The device has gone on sale starting August 28th in Russia for RUB 3490 ($53/€46).
