Lenovo has announced a new affordable budget smartphone which has definitely earned it’s tag as one of the most affordable smartphones around. The A1900 would be complementing the Moto E and Moto G which are from Motorola (a Lenovo owned company).
First up is the price tag – the Lenovo A1900 would cost around $45 – $52 which is around N8,500 to N11,000 in Naira in current exchange rate. The device unfortunately would be available only in Asia and is likely going to see an international release. The device however can be ordered from Chinese reseller which would add some extra amount to the aforementioned price.
Moving to the specs, much isn’t expected as the Lenovo A1900 is powered by a Spreadtrum SC7730 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM and Mali-400 GPU for graphics. For storage purpose there is a 4GB internal storage space which can be supplemented by a microSD.
The device sports a 4.0-inch (800 X 480 pixels) WVGA IPS display with a pixel density of 233ppi. It measures 121 x 62 x 9.5mm in dimensions, weighs 117 grams, FM Radio, Dual SIM functionality and is backed by 1500mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device includes – triple-band 2G, 2100MHZ 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.
While there is no front Camera, the Main camera is a 2MP unit with LED flash. The A1900 runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box.
