Entry-Level LG Optimus Zone 3 is coming to Verizon Prepaid

LG and Verizon Wireless are reportedly preparing the successor to the Optimus Zone 2 – the LG Optimus Zone 3 which will exclusive to the US carrier’s prepaid plan. The device is definitely one for first time smartphone users or those interested in getting a basic driver.

According to @evleaks, which tweeted the LG Optimus Zone 3 render, the entry-level device will be available soon but there is no specs information or pricing. It has a plastic looking body build and has the old Verizon logo as well the LG logo below it. The device is expected to have at least a 4-inch sized display, 1GB of RAM and 4G LTE support.

Revisiting it’s predecessor, the LG Optimus Zone 2 which debuted in 2014 and is still on sale for a price of US$ 24.99 in the US. The device sports a 3.5-inch display with 320 x 420 pixels resolution, 512MB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage space and a microSD card for expansion up to 32GB.

The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 302 GPU. The rest of the specs goes thus – rear facing 3MP camera, no front camera, Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS and a 1700mAh battery. We will look forward to the official announcement of the Optimus Zone 3 smartphone by LG.
