Entry-Level Micromax Canvas Pace 4G-equipped phone announced

Micromax has officially announced a new 4G-enabled smartphone in India. Dubbed the Micromax Canvas Pace 4G, the entry-level smartphone is coming some hours after the Canvas Nitro 3 was unearthed. There is no word on pricing and availability yet.

The highlight of the Micromax Canvas Pace 4G is obviously support for 4G LTE (LTE Cat. 4 – up to 150Mbps download speed, up to 50Mbps upload speed) connectivity with compatibility with LTE bands in India and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS which recently got dethroned by Marshmallow.

The Dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage and for additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.

Photography on the Micromax Canvas Pace 4G is handled by a front facing 2-megapixels camera and a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with LED flash. Along with 4G LTE, other connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and micro USB 2.0.

With its relatively simple specs, the Micromax Canvas Pace 4G lasts up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 375 hours of standby time being backed by a 2500mAh battery.
