Spice Mobile sub-brand, Nexian has announced a new entry-level smartphone – the Nexian NV-45 in India. The 4.5-inch sized budget device will be available exclusively on Flipkart for a price tag below US$ 60 (Rs 3799 – US$ 57) in Black and Grey colour options to choose from.
Moving to the specifics, the Nexian NV-45 sports a 4.5-inch TN display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA), a pixel density of 217.7ppi and Asahi DragonTrail glass protection. It is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SPRD7731 clocked at 1.2GHz with Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space out of which 5.5GB is user available.
For photography, there is a front facing 3.2-megapixels camera for selfies and video chat; and a rear facing 5-megapixels AutoFocus camera with LED flash plus 1080p Full HD video recording. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
Connectivity options on the Nexian NV-45 includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 3G HSPA+ but no support for 4G LTE. It weighs 140.5 grams in size, measures 66 x 132.5 x 10.6 mm in dimensions, has Dual SIM slots (WCDMA + GSM), FM Radio and boots the dated Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
The NV-45 is backed by a 1650mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 7 hours of talk time (on 2G) and up to 250 hours of standby time (on 2G). Nexian is the brand behind the Nexian Journey One and Nexian Air Chromebook.
