With previous offerings such as the Seatel L2, T6 and V8 under its portfolio, South East Asia Telecom (SEATEL Cambodia), has announced a new entry-level smartphone – the Seatel V9, under it own branding. As expected, it supports 4G LTE connectivity with Voice over LTE (VoLTE), however, the OS is still stuck on the long dated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Seatel V9 sports a matte plastic body, 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display, rear 8MP AF camera with LED flash, front 5MP FF selfie camera, and a moderate 2200mAh Li-ion battery. It relies on a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. The device has Dual Micro SIM slots, measures 143 x 71.4 x 7.9 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 141.5 grams and is expected to last up to 400hrs on standby and 11hrs of talktime on 3G/9.5hrs on 4G.
Connectivity options on the Seatel V9 includes GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB v2.0. The device is on sale from the carrier for a fitting price tag of $79 and the option to choose either Black or White colour options. The package also includes free SIM, free 10GB of data, case and protector.
