Russia has just gotten another budget smartphone and it is the teXet X-Smart. The entry-level device is priced at RUB 4000 ($67, €62) and comes in Black colour option only. Like most phones from teXet it is expected to sell only in Russian markets.
The teXet X-Smart sports a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA). Under the hood, it is backed by a 32-bit dual-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Mali-400 MP1 GPU. Handling task on the device is 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage space is onboard.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. The main camera on the back is a 2-megapixels snapper and the front camera is a VGA (0.3MP) snapper for video chats. The X-Smart supports 2G and 3G UMTS networks and other connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and FM Radio.
The teXet X-Smart measures 64 x 125 x 9.7 mm in dimensions, weighs 107 grams in size, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box, supports Dual Mini SIM slots with Dual Standby and is backed by a 1400mAh battery which is expected to keep the lights on for some hours.
