Alright Samsung started the year with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy E series – Galaxy E5 & Galaxy E7, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max; the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy A7 followed joining the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 thus completing the Galaxy A Series family.
The device we have on our platter now is the Samsung Galaxy J1 and the device is no stranger as it has been spotted on Benchmark listing with the model number SM-J100F and on another as the SM-J100H. All that remains of the device is to be officially listed or be made available for sale as the full specs of the Samsung Galaxy J1 has been detailed.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 (SM-J100) would kickstart the Galaxy J series from the company and based on a leaked promotional leaflet courtesy of Sammobile the Galaxy J1 has been seen in live pictures.
As known before the Samsung Galaxy J1 would be powered by a 64-bit Marvel PXA1908 processor which clocks at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, 4GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
The device would sport a 4.3-inch 480 x 800 pixels display, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, sport a rear 5MP camera, 2MP front camera (0.3MP front camera on the 3G versions) and backed by a 1850mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy J1 is said to be available in LTE, 3G, Dual SIM 3G and Dual SIM LTE.
The leaked promo page also points to a potential January 14 launch date which is the same as the Tizen OS based Samsung Z1 is expected to launch and is some few hours away. We should know more in some few hours time.
