Facebook announces Live Video Broadcast for Celebrities and Public Figures

Facebook has announced ‘Live’ Video Broadcast features for celebrities and public figures. The feature is available through Facebook Mentions and only users such as athletes, politicians, musicians, influences and other public figures with verified facebook pages have access to it.

Celebrities and Public figures would be able to share Live video with their followers through Facebook Mentions, the special app designed for them to keep up would their fans.

Live video of your favourite celebrities and public figures would be available on your news feed in the mobile apps or website and you will be able to comment on, like or share when watching the live broadcast. 

You will also know when you friends or other public figures are watching the same video. For those who didn’t see the broadcast live would be able to watch the video later on the public figure’s page and like any facebook post the video can be deleted any time of wish. 

Celebrities such as Ashley Tisdale, Serena Williams, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Ricardo Kaká, Martha Stewart, Luke Bryan, Lester Holt and Michael Bublé have all shared live videos by now and you can catch those you missed on their page.
