Facebook has announced the Video Calling for Messenger, the new feature gives users the chance to have face-to-face conversations with friends where words are not enough. The new feature for messenger follows the introduction of Business on Messenger, sending money to friends and the launch of the Messenger platform (in no particular order).
Starting a Video Call is pretty easy, from any conversation simply tap the Video icon around the top right corner of the display. Regardless of the OS being used, the video calling feature works on mobile phones; either Android to iOS or iOS to Android mobile phones.
With Voice and Video calling, Facebook is hoping it would expand real-time communication features on the platform thus enabling it’s over 600 million users connect with one another wherever they area. Areas with poor connectivity will still have issues regardless.
The Facebook Messenger Video calling feature is currently available on iOS and Android users in the following countries listed – Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay. Other regions would certainly get the video call feature at a later dates. If it is not available in your region yet, it will get there.
