Along with the Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, Google also debuted a flagship tablet – the Google Pixel C. The 2-in-1 or hybrid tablet has a detachable keyboard is developed in-house by the team behind the Chromebook Pixel brand but this time around the tablet runs Android OS not Chrome OS.
The Google Pixel C actually looks like a Chromebook device converted to Android. It sports a 10.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels with a pixel density of 308ppi and with 500 nits of brightness, the display will even reflect well under Sunlight.
Under the hood it is powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra X1 processor with Maxwell GPU and 3GB of RAM.The tablet has a reversible USB Type-C Port for charging and I/O, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is available in both 32GB and 64GB internal storage options.
Talking about the detachable keyboard, it communicates with the device via Bluetooth but connects magnetically with the tablet. It also charges wirelessly when the tablet is placed over it. The Google Pixel C will be available in time for the holiday and the C in the name refers to Convertible. The 32GB model costs $499 while the 64GB model costs $599; the keyboard is sold separately for an additional $149.
