Days ago, Founder and CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy and the CEO of Tsaiboin, Dele Odufuye announced the launch of Flobyt Wi-Fi in Lagos. The free Wi-Fi service is available at partner locations in Lagos Island and Mainland such as buses, cafés, eateries, parks, taxis, restaurants and others businesses.
Launched at the Renaissance Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, Flobyt Wi-Fi is modelled to replicate the home Wi-Fi experience when people are out and about. There is no charge to use the service and all it takes is to walk into a partner outlet, patronise them and use the Internet without restrictions.
According to the founders, 10 – 30 users can connect to Flobyt Wi-Fi at the same time while Flobyt Max handles high traffic loctaions where 10 – 80 people can access the internet service concurrently. Businesses and users can also suggest their locations to host the free Wi-Fi on the official website.
Commenting at the launch, social media savvy record label executive also added;
“I have always wanted to play big in the technology space and I looked for people who were sound and had a beautiful track record in the technology space. This is my first business investment in the technology space that is public while I remain a silent partner in others. I am really interested in driving Flobyts reach beyond Lagos.
Our Wi-Fi is the fastest in town and those who stream our music and content as entertainers are from the US and the UK. We believe that if we improve our services the numbers can improve. I believe so much in this. This is one of the few other investments we are going to be sharing with you.
I have been on social media for a long time. I know how expensive data is. I give free airtime, now it’s time to give free WiFi,”.

- Massimo Bar, Ikeja;
- Grace’s Cakes, Ogba;
- Jazzment Salon Lekki;
- Kayz Place Barbershop, Lekki;
- Amala Express, Lekki;
- White House, Sabo, Yaba; and
- Road Star Burger, Lekki.
