Fly has announced a new entry-level smartphone in Russia. Dubbed the Fly Cirrus 4, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS running device sports a 5-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved screen, 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, a metal frame on the edges and glass covering on the front and rear.
On the inside, it relies on an quad-core Mediatek MT6580A processor clocked at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali-T720 GPU for graphics and supports only 2G and 3G networks. The SoC is paired with a 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 32GB.
The Fly Cirrus 4 FS507 weighs 134 grams, measures 143.0 x 71.6 x 7.6 mm in dimensions and derive juice from a rather small-ish but capable 1950mAh battery that promises up to 7 hours of talk time, 150 hours of standby time, up to 50 hours of audio playback or up to 4 hours video playback.
In the camera department, there is a rear facing 8-megapixels AutoFocus camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording while the front camera is a front facing 2-megapixels Fixed Focus camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options onboard includes – 3G HSPDA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB.
The Dual SIM enabled Fly Cirrus 4 benefits from having the latest OS (Marshmallow) and rocks a sleek build but falls short having a small capacity battery and no LTE connectivity. It is priced at RUB 7490 (EUR 102 / USD 114) in Black and White colours.
