Fossil has joined the list of traditional watchmakers to join the smartwatch scene with the Fossil Q Line of fashionable connected wearables. There are four devices in the line with two of them bracelets – the Q Dreamer & Q Reveler; and two smartwatch – the Q Grant & Q Founder.
The Fossil Q Founder is the flagship of the quartet; It has a round touchscreen display, powered by Intel chips and run Google’s Android Wear. It would be available in time for the holidays for a price starting at $275.
Next is the Fossil Q Grant, it also has a round display dial and is connected but unlike the Q Founder, it doesn’t run Android Wear OS and has a traditional watch display. It however has LED indicators on either side and gently vibrates when it receives notifications. Pricing is between $175 – $195.
Both the Fossil Q Dreamer and Q Reveler are connected bracelets; the duo tracks activity, delivers a gentle nudge (soft vibration) there is a happening on your device. Both costs $125 but the bands on the Q Dreamer can be swapped to suit one’s taste.
All four wearables are provided with a wireless charging base for wireless charging, connects to devices via Bluetooth technology and are compatible with both Android (Android 4.3 and higher) and iOS devices (iPhone 5 and above). They also work with the Fossil Q app which has three main features – Q Activity, Q Curiosity and Q Notifications.
