Japan-based brand, Freetel has announced the MTK6753-powered Freetel Rei will go on sale on later this month (May 27th). The device will be available only in the home country (Japan) and the US for a tax exclusive price tag of JPY 29,900 (USD 275). Available colour options are Champagne Gold, Metal Black, Metal Silver, Rose Gold and Sky Blue.
Sporting an aluminium-alloy metal body which is 7.2mm thin and weighs 136 grams; the Freetel Rei sports a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) IPS LCD display and is backed by a 2800mAh battery (non-removable) that provides up to 750 minutes of talk time and up to 288 hours of standby time.
Under the hood, it relies on the Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s FREETEL UI 1.0 on top. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
