Freetel is a considerably well know Japanese phone maker and one of the company’s latest smartphone – the Freetel Samurai Miyabi is one of the available high mid-range smartphones with decent specs. The. 5-incher is available in three colour options – Black, Champagne Gold and White; and is already selling in Japan through a series of flash sales for JPY 19,800 ($164).
The Freetel Samurai Miyabi sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 Pixels (HD), a pixel density of 294ppi and the side frames are made of metal. Under the hood, it packs a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz which is paired with Mali T720 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage space.
On the back of the device lies a 13 megapixels camera with CMOS sensor, on the front, a 5 megapixels snapper for selfies and despite the huge internal storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Connectivity options onboard includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4).
The Freetel Samurai Miyabi measures 142 x 72 x 8.2mm in dimensions, weighs about 150 grams, has Dual Micro SIM slots with Dual Standby and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The whole device is backed by a removable 2200mAh Li-ion battery which is expected to guarantee about a day of usage.
