Samsung has started sending out press invites for its ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event’ which would be happening on March 1, 2015 and it marks the beginning of the MWC 20w5 in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and it’s curved counterpart – Samsung Galaxy S Edge or Galaxy S6 Edge is expected to be the focus of the event. The company launched the Galaxy S5 at the event last year.
The press invite doesn’t say much but it points to the company unveiling a device with distinct curves in its body. This could point to the curved variant of the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 itself would feature curved glass.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 would be powered by the company’s in-house chipset – the 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 or possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM, 20MP main camera with OIS and front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The S6 is said to come without water and dust IP certification.
The rest of the specs features includes – fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor and 5-inch (5.1 – 5.3-inch) QHD super AMOLED display. The device is also said to have an all metal body and would have a slim profile.
As the MWC 2015 is just some days away, we have marked the dates on our calender and we would be sure be keeping tabs on this. Come March 1st hopefully the Galaxy S6 would no longer be a mystery.
