Gameloft has announced the opening of a new trade office in Nigeria, in a bid to continuing the company’s strategic expansion into Africa. The leading digital and social media game publishing company is no stranger to the continent as it already has an office in Johannesburg since 2012.
Physically, Gameloft now boasts of a total of two offices in Africa, however, the company has been enjoying a relatively strong presence in various African countries (Algeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, South Africa, e.t.c), due to the ongoing strategic partnership with a number of leading mobile operators on the continent such as MTN, Etisalat, Orange, Vodafone, Safaricom and Ooredoo.
Commenting on the launch, Gameloft’s Sales Director Africa, Vincent Brezillon said;
“The opening of a new trade office in Africa will allow us to take advantage of the considerable potential of a market that already includes more than 36. The success that we’ve experienced since the opening of our Johannesburg office, and surging sales in Africa over the last two years, completely justify the opening of a subsidiary in Nigeria, which is Africa’s strongest economy. In addition, this presence will facilitate interactions with our current and future local partners.”
Some of latest games from the stables of Gameloft includes – Asphalt 8: Airborne, World at Arms, Brothers in Arms 3: Sons of war, March of Empires, Dragon Mania Legends, Dungeon Hunter 5 and Mortal Combat 5: Blackout.
