Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell (North Cyprus Turkcell), a subsidiary of Istanbul-based Turkcell has announced the General Mobile GM 5 Plus Android One smartphone in Northern Cyprus. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Version and would receive updates directly from Google for a number of months.
Available in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Space Grey, the General Mobile GM 5 Plus Android One phone is sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 2.D Corning Gorilla Glass on the front panel and the specs is not entirely different from the model released in Turkey at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona
On the inside, the GM 5 Plus is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) 64bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD.
In the camera segment, there is a front facing 13MP camera with LED flash and a rear facing 13MP camera with Dual LED flash. The General Mobile GM 5 Plus supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, and Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g /n/ac. It is backed by a 3100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and uses the USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging.
