Gigabyte has launched a 15.6-inch P35X v3 gaming laptop which the company boast of as “the lightest 15.6-inch gaming laptop” available yet. Despite its slimmer and lighter body build, the company did not compromise with the specs as it is a powerhouse of its own.
With this gaming laptop, users have a lot of top options to make; starting with the OS, users have a choice of choosing between Windows 8.1, 8.1 Pro, 7 Home Premium and 7 Professional. Its 15.6-inch LCD display has a wide viewing angle with a choice of a WQHD+ 2880 x 1620 display or Full HD 1920 x 1080 display.
The CPU Gigabyte employs on the P35X v3 is the. Intel’s fourth generation of Core chips with choices between the Core i7-4860HQ (2.4GHz-3.6GHz) and Core i7-4710HQ (2.5GHz-3.5GHz). Graphics would be handled by a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M GPU which is paired with 8GB of GDDR5 RAM. There is also an Intel HD Graphics 4600 GPU for lower energy consumption purposes.
The Gigabyte P35X v3 comes with a host of storage option opting for quad-storage bays and a number of mSATA SSD, 2.5-inch HDD and ODDs option. There are also different ports on the device which includes – 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, HDMI port, microSD Card Reader, 802.11ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, D-sub, RJ45, Mic-in, Earphone-out (SPDIF), DC-in Jack, Mini DisplayPort and 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet.
The Gigabyte P35X v3 measures 385 x 270 x 20.9mm, weighs between 2.2Kg and 2.3Kg depending on storage option, and packs a Li-Polymer, 11.1V, 75.81Wh battery. The P35X v3 could be on offer for a rumoured starting price of £1,600 or$2,400 in the US.
