Gionee is expected to announce the Gionee Elife E8 smartphone at some point this year. The device has already been certified on TENAA in China which means a launch date might not be far off.
An alleged render of the device has surfaced online and we have a peek of what the device could be. According to the Gionee Elife E8 render, the body build suggests an all-metal unibody build in Gold colour and a dedicated camera shutter on the side
According to the already available specs info, the Gionee Elife E8 is expected to have a 6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2K/QHD display with a pixel density amounting to 639ppi. Under the hood, it would be powered by a true octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage.
There is no word on if the storage is expandable. One of the highlights of the device is its rear facing 23MP camera which can be interpolated to produce pictures of 100MP. This is accompanied by a front facing 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. The fingerprint scanner is said to be located under the main camera on the rear.
The Gionee Elife E8 measures 164.0 × 82.3 × 9.6mm in dimensions, weighs 207 grams, backed by a non-removable 3250mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Amigo 3.0 UI ontop.
