Gionee has a new lower midrange phone for India in the F series of devices. The Gionee F103 as it is known is a Dual SIM Dual Mode 4G LTE enabled smartphone. The device is priced at Rs 11,500 (around $173) in the country and is expected to be available internationally too at some point.
Moving to the specs, the Gionee F103 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS TFT LCD display, powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
On the rear, the F103 has a 8MP camera with LED flash and the front camera is a 5MP snapper for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB, USB 2.0 and 4G LTE/3G HSPA+. There is also HotKnot connectivity which perform NFC-like features.
The Gionee F103 measures 137 x 66.7 x 7.5 mm in dimensions, weighs around 140 grams, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Amigo 3.0 UI ontop and supports Dual SIM functionality. It is backed by a 2400mAh battery with battery saving mode and provides 30 hours of tallk time and 480 hours of standby time.
