Gionee has a new low-end smartphone in the works, at the moment the device is known as the Gionee GN152 and has been certified on TENAA. The 5-inch sized phone is expected to launch in China but there is no word on pricing or if the device would launch under a different name.
The Gionee GN152 features a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and a plastic polycarbonate body build. The speakers can be found on the lower back, the right side is free of any buttons while the left side has the lock/power button and the volume rockers.
Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz which is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion up to 128GB. On the back lies a 5MP camera with LED flash and a 2MP grace the front of the device for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity option on the the device includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE; the device normally has supports for the GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE network bands. The Gionee GN152 measures 140.8 x 71 x 8.8 mm in dimensions, weighs 151 grams, boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2400mAh battery.
