Gionee has ditched out two lovely smartphones – the Gionee S6 and Gionee S6 Plus in the past month. Another device from the company – the Gionee GN5002 has recently been certified by Chinese relation agency – TENAA and as expected most of the key details and images are included in the listing.
The Gionee GN5002 is a mid-range device and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. It sports a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz (likely a Mediatek processor) paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 8-megapixels camera with LED flash. The Dual SIM device has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB and connectivity options onboard includes – GPS/A-GPS, 4G-LTE (LTE Cat.4), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and micro USB port.
Measuring 155 x 76 x 9 mm in dimensions, the Gionee GN5002 is not exactly lightweight weighing around 200 grams in size; it will arrive in Black and Indigo colour options. The battery capacity is not stated but judging from the thickness and weight of the device, it is one with a big capacity battery.
