The Gionee GN8001 is one of the three smartphone from Gionee to have been 3C certified in China recently. The phablet sized device has also made it way to Chinese agency, TENAA to be certified and as with the listing we have seen the key specs and the closest images of the device.
According to the listing, the Gionee GN8001 is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). It measures 160.7 x 81.0 x 8.2mm in dimensions and weighs 206 grams.
In the camera segment, the device has a front facing 5-Megapixels for selfies & video chats, a rear facing 8 or 13-Megapixels with LED flash and a fingerprint scanner is said to be embedded into the home button. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE, micro USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
With such weigh and thickness, the Gionee GN8001 has a battery capacity northwards of 3000mAh, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The final name of the device is not known but it is expected to go official pretty soon; pricing and availability details are not officially communicated yet.
